30" tall, native to the Northeast U.S., with numerous tall stems and rosy-lilac to purple flowers in the fall. The premier fall-blooming native pollinator plant; numerous bees and other pollinators can be seen on each cluster of flowers on warm days in late September and early October! Excellent choice for mass plantings or the edges of treelines. Rich, moist soil in full sun. Zone 4-7. Rain garden plant.
