Find these hardy, early spring flowers pushing through the snow in March. They are one of the prettiest spring anemones, with light green leaves and fragrant, 1-2" dainty white flowers, which grow up to 18". The petals of fragrant, slightly nodding blooms flutter like butterflies in the wind which eventually give way to wooly, white fruit. This lovely plant will spread freely into a nice, dense groundcover which pairs well with daffodils or other spring bulbs. Full sun or part shade. Tolerates loose and clay soils. Zones 4-8.
