When We Ship
Orders not containing live plants will be shipped soon after they are placed.
Orders containing live plants will be shipped once the weather is safe for the plants. Typically, we do not ship live plants during the winter or the peak of summer. This is to ensure your plants arrive happy and healthy!
Orders containing special items such as dahlia tubers and seed garlic will ship seasonally.
We plan to start shipping plants in April, weather permitting. We will also have hours at our store in Jericho during the months of May and June, if you would like to visit us in person, and save shipping on your pre-ordered plants.
Please note: There are a number of states we are restricted from shipping plants to, due to our organic practices). Our plants are grown in actual compost-based soil mixes, rather than bare-root or soil-less mix, and we do not “drench” them in pesticides.
Many states in the western half of the U.S. require plants that are shipped from eastern states to adhere to strict regulations involving toxic chemicals, due to concerns about introducing unwanted insect pests and diseases. While we recognize that this is a valid concern, we are a small nursery that has made a conscious decision to maintain our principles and stay certified organic and chemical-free. We apologize for any confusion or frustration this may create for our online customers.

We ship live plants to the following states: Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
If your order contains items we cannot ship to you, any payment made will be refunded and your order will be cancelled. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Refunds and Returns
Should your plants arrive damaged, we will be happy to replace them for you or provide store credit for their value. Please send us a photo of the damage within 48 hours of receiving your plants so that we may compensate you.
